Introduction of the speaker:

Dr. Shuhai Lin received his B.Sc. in 2003 from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and M.Phil. from School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Sun Yat-sen University. After graduation, he worked in PepTech (Shanghai) Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. as head of Analytical Group. He went to Department of Chemistry, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) as PhD student in 2008 and obtained PhD degree in 2011. During his PhD study, he also got further study in Helmholtz Zentrum Munich as exchange student. Dr. Lin continued to be a post-doctoral research fellow at HKBU as well as visiting scientist at Helmholtz Zentrum Munich supported by DAAD scholarship. He became a Research Assistant Professor in October 2012 and focused on mass spectrometry-based metabolomics, tumor metabolism and host-gut microbiota metabolic interactions. He has published 16 peer-reviewed research articles, such as Analytica Chimica Acta, Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, Talanta, Analytical Bioanalytical Chemistry, Molecular Biosystems.
