Introduction to the speaker:
Dr. Bengang Xing, Associate Professor of Nanyang Technological University. He received his doctoral degree from Nanjing University in 2000. From 2001-2003, Dr. Xing served as a Research Associate in the Department of Chemistry, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Afterwards he continuously pursued his postdoctoral research fellowshipand become a postdoctoral researcher in University of California and Stanford University respectively. From 2006 to present, Dr. Xing served as an assistant professor and associate professor in the Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry, Nanyang Technological Universitysuccessively.
Dr. Xing is a famous expert in the field of molecular imaging. His research interests will be highly interdisciplinary at the interface of nano-biotechnology, fluorescent imaging chemistry, organic synthesis, biomaterials as well as chemical biology and medicinal chemistry. Specific aims are to integrate the knowledge of synthesis chemistry and chemical biology and optical imaging sensing techniques to design, develop and identify the small molecules, natural products, drug active peptides and/or their analogues for real-time probing of special bioactive molecules or monitoring the reaction process in living system. He is also interested in the development of new functional nanomaterial hybrids for biosensing, enzyme detection, biocatalysis, drug/gene delivery or potential clinical diagnosis. Dr. Xing has published high quality papers on JACS, Angew., Chem., Intl., Ed.and so on.
All are welcome to the lecture!
