Introduction of the speaker:
Dr. Gonzalez is a famous scientist in the field of Pharmacology and Toxicology from NIH. He has more than 30 years of research experience in studies of drug and carcinogen metabolism, and in determining mechanisms of chemical carcinogenesis, primarily using mouse models, molecular biological techniques, and metabolomics strategies. Till now, he has published about 1000 papers in peer reviewed journals such as Science, Nature, Nature Medicine, PNAS, Cell Metabolism, and hepatology. He was one of the Top 10 Thompson ISI Most Cited Scientist, he ranked 2nd out of a pool of more than 2000 scientists from 1993 to 2003 in the field of Pharmacology & Toxicology. He also owns more than 20 US patents. He has served as board member of various pharmacological, biochemical, toxicological, and pharmaceutical associations or societies, as editorial board of a number of peer reviewed journals, and also provided consulting activities for pharmaceutical industry. To date, he has been awarded more than 30 awards or special scientific recognitions from various professional societies and associations.
